Based on the Chilean documentary “El Agente Topo”
Line of Events
Charles, a retiree, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a private detective and becomes the mole in an undercover investigation of a retirement home.
I loved it!
Remake of El Agent Topo (2020).
What I expected was a comedy full of clichés about someone going undercover, his crazy antics, and the like
Instead, we have a series about a man who not only helped others, but actually helped himself heal from the loss of his wife.
This great series wasn’t full of corny laughs and corny jokes, in some parts I actually found myself getting emotional due to the way the themes were handled, such as the resident with memory problems
It wasn’t all serious though, making you feel down or bored as you went through the episodes, but the series was worth watching because you wanted to see how it developed – who was stealing etc.
The cast was fantastic, the cinematography and locations are well done
I really hope they do another season and bring as good a mix of laughs, excitement, writing, locations and cast as they did in Charles’ other detective-style adventures and this one.
