I have to agree with many other reviewers, this is a great production with a good atmosphere and Eddie Redmayne does a great job in the title role as the Jackal, but the female lead just ruins it. It’s a complete mistake to use an actor who can’t show any emotion on his face regardless of the situation and who almost overacts, possibly trying to compensate for his lack of understanding or appreciation of the character. The character should obviously be confident and experienced, but his portrait is one of a conceited “I know best” woman who, for example, does not appreciate the evidence, walking the suitcase around the common office. She is so irritating and amazing.
